GOA

From Rajasthan to Goa it'a a big difference. From the desert to a crazy party place. I didn't like it at the beginning but lucky that we took a scooter and we went around outside the big caos. We decided to be hosted by a couple of couchsurfers in Calangute. Nice people but the town wasn't what we were looking for. There are many Russian people over there we not rules. No respect for the locals. The girls dress very tiny dress and hot pants. Topless on the beach. MMM... After been around India has been a shock for us to see that. But anyway, If you stay at north of Goa try to got to Arambol, a paceful Yippie little town. We have been relaxing on the beach where if you drink or order some food it's possible to get a bed for free. The ocean is not the color that I was think... The water it'a a bit dark but warm and nice for a swim especially because outside is very hot... After two days we are back on our way, a the airport, going to Kerala that seems like it's a wonderful place. I just hope to find some clear water like Thailand...

We did went in camel safari just outside Jaisalmer. A full day riding the camel and a nice overnight sleeping on the dunes. The crew was nice, a girl and a guy from Poland, two Canadian guys and an English. A lot of fun with them, sharing stories. We had three camels drivers, one was just ten years old and has been doing that job already for six years!!! They cooked for us on the fireplace soma good pakora, some chapati and vegetables. Nice meal. I really enjoyed the sleeping on the sand... The full moon and the fresh breez of the night. Very nice! We did a little more camel ride in the morning just to go to the jeep that was waiting for us... We didn't do al Safari until the afternoon be we gave up cause the sun was very hot and our bums were very sore!!! Short but good experience!!!
We left Jaisalmer last evening at six to reach Johdpur and from here our flight takes off at 1 pm to Goa... A bit of relax now an beach!

Jaisalmer, city of the desert

Twelve hours in the bus. OMG. I probably slept half hour and a felt like be in a box. The bed was smelly and the cold air was coming in from the window. I was wrapped in my jumper wit the neck pillow that I normally use on the airplane, hugging my luggages. But it was worth the effort.
It's very relaxing. The city is all made in sand stones, same color of the desert. There's a very nice fort in the centre hill where we staying. The Guest House is Surja. Very easy and cheap. The view from here is awesome.
We are planning to do a camel safari in the desert a spend the night over there too. The good thing in that is going to be full moon. Can't wait to ride a camel.

I was a bit scared when we arrived in Pushkar... There were so many people that were tring to follow our bus, I thought the were waiting for tourists, But I was wrong, there were just tring to get a seat in the bus throwing their bags from the windows. Lucky that the police helped us coming out the bus.
So many people and so many colours. The ladies are beautiful more colourfull than normaland the men are amazing with their bright turbans. I love the shoes that are wearing and all the jewelries. So many shops here selling clothing... Too much touristic for us. There's a lake that looks like a small Varanasi with Ghats and bath in the water and Aarti in the evening and morning.
Next adventure Jaisalmer and the Safari on camel in the desert. I'm looking after to be there...

Is called the Pink City, the city of the Marhaja. We decided to do a tour so it's easier to visit few thing in less time. The City Palace, the Winds Palace, the forts. Jaipur is the state capital but it's a small city. Lucky that the rickshaw are using the meter now so it was easy and chip to go around. We staid in a very nice hotel five minutes from the rail station. A clean and peacefull place, the Khrisna Palace Hotel. Probably the best hotel where we stay in India at the moment. They have a nice garden and a roof top restaurant where they cook nice and fresh food. Aftern visited the city there not much to see... In the old town there are alot of shops and bazars good for shopping.

After two days we booked a Deluxe Bus with Air Condition and confy seats that goes straight to Ajmer for 200 Rupees for each person.

Destination Pushkar at the Camel fair.

From Agra to Jaipur

We arrived in Agra a bit late so we decided to visit the city the day after... Alarm at 4.30... Another early morning. Outside is still dark and pretty cold. The temperature drop alot in the night time. So we get with a rickshaw to the west gate of the Taj Mahal. There's already a small queue of tourist waiting at the counter...  We wait a while to get the tickets. For the Indian people there's no rush, but for us there is... i want to see the sunrise on the Taj. Finally we get the tickets and after the normal police check at the main entrance we get at the mai door... The first bulding that i saw was red color... I wasn't sure if was already the main attraction on the place, was already so big and beautifull... But following the crowd we get there inside the big garden. It'stunning. magic and the color change with the sun coming up. It's the Taj Mahal. Unbeliveble how nice it is. Every one were crazy to take photos specialy because the big fountain in front of us is reflecting the building. Now understand why is one of the seven wonders of the world. All covered in white marble. I could't stop to watch it. The ticket is pretty expencive, 750 Rupees for foreigns and just 20 Rupees for Indians. No shoes are alowed on the white marble so is possible to get some shoes-covers for free.
A suggestion is, get inside from the East Gate and out from the West so it's easier to got to the Agra Fort after the Taj Mahal.
There's not much else to visit. the city doesn't much, so the day after we decided to jump on the train and go to Jaipur.
